Davood and his staff are friendly. They have awesome food. Davood makes everything from scratch himself. Try the eggs benny with the stuffing bun...it's a bun made out of stuffing, which is then toasted and used as a regular bun in his dishes...yum!
I walk by with my dog often and will stop at the window. He always greets me with a huge smile and chit chat even though he is usually swamped. You can tell he loves what he does.
I have no idea what Anne T. is talking about in her review. Nobody thinks poorly of Davood in Steveston...everyone loves him. She just doesn't want to be the only one to try to drag him down it sounds.
Anyways...I highly recommend Davood and his food! They serve alcohol too :) -

Best breakfast in Steveston. Definitely check it out.
At a time when burgers today are hovering around $20, Davood's are half that...and better than most. -

They took reservations for 4 of us on Sunday morning. We ordered London fog with almond mild, chai, coffee and we all loved the London fog. Early grey tea brewed in steam milk. Food however, fell flat. The fruit bowl was small and unmemorable. Eggs benedicts used some heavy grained/seeded bread that became soggy under the meat. Hollandaise sauce was non-existent and the very few pieces of smoked salmon. Home fries served with the eggs benedicts were much better and mostly filled up on those. Waffles were dry, flavorless and the berry served with the waffles we're for frozen and more sauce like. Whipped cream seemed fresh tho. They accept credit cards and they had an interesting atmosphere of soccer bar feel. Cute place worth great location by the dock but.. I'd defintely pass on the food next time.

3.5. Pretty good brunch place with fresh ingredients. Delicious coffee done right, and the eggs benny was perfect.
I did find a piece of hair in my dish though... I find the salad and fruit refreshing as it wasn't as heavy as adding hash browns as a pairing. -

The menu brought us in but the rude and defensive manner of the cook (owner?) has made us pledge to never return. Simply asking him to re-do the breakfast burrito because the eggs were not fully cooked was too much for him to handle. He insisted it was the melted cheese. Nope, sorry Davood, it was the eArguing with a customer who nicely asks is never a good way to procure return customers. Sorry for all of the Davood's customers, this not a day that he had his "A" game going on. Bummer.
Update- word on the street in Steveston, Davood continues to not impress customers with his defensive attitude and lack of charm.
